Indigenous African Partners

Our Partners in Africa:

Church of Uganda (Karamoja Diocese) –

This is our main partner in Karamoja.  This diocese is growing spiritually and many new believers are coming up.  We have been consulting with them for several years as well as implementing projects together.   We have been training their CAHWs, Traditional Healers, Women’s Leaders and TOT members.  We also help them with evangelical outreaches, funding for orphans, IDPs, peace building, church building projects and disaster management.

 AIM, African Inland Mission

CLIDE has done some consultation work with AIM in West Africa. We formerly had two staff members who are missionaries seconded from AIM.  AIM has sent some new missionaries to work in Moroto which we hope to partner more with in the future.

Uganda Christian Veterianry Mission

UCVM is a Christian not-for-profit organisation aimed at providing ministry opportunities for veterinary doctors and veterinary students in Uganda.  They usually hold an annual veterinary symposium and outreach with the students from Makerere University COVAB, together with visiting veterinarians from the USA.

 Nakabaat Artisanal Mining Association (NAMA)

God introduced us to this group of gold miners during the COVID-19 pandemic. They had never had their own church at the gold mines and implored us to come and have church services and pray with them. We decided to start a church their and became their friends and mentors. To empower them to become legal in Uganda, we helped them to form an association and get registered so that they could get a gold mining license. We are happy to see that they are well on their way to being licensed and making their own gold mining businesses to glorify God.

Karamoja Collections

Sustainable development requires entrepreneurial opportunities to access markets for locally produced merchandise. Karamoja Collections gives an opportunity for the people of Karamoja to acces fair trade markets for their artwork, crafts, jewelery, herbal medicines, traditional household items and articles of traditional clothing  Proceeds go directly to the artisians and craftspeople.
